Industrial Area Rzhevka in the North-East of St. Petersburg
Client: Saint-Petersburg City Industrial Investments Agency (Committee on economic development, industrial policy and trade).
Project goal: to create in the north-eastern part of the city a new industrial and business area developing the district’s economy, increase the number of jobs, expand the selection of professions and provide for the consistent growth of social, economic, engineering and transport infrastructure in the district.
Industrial area Rzhevka is located in the north-eastern part of the city, in Krasnogvardeysky district of Saint-Petersburg. The project has a total area 510 ha.
Formation of a new zone of industrial and business activity in the north-eastern part of the city will ensure development of the city-forming base of the region; it will contribute to employment increase as well as afford an opportunity to choose a profession.
According to the aims of the project special attention is paid to well-balanced arrangement of industrial and public business objects on the project territory. The objects are supposed to be located on the crossing of Industrialny prospectus and Marshal Blucher prospectus.
Formation of a stable transport frame on the territory is achieved with the help of confluence of Marshal Blucher prospectus, Communy, Golovkinskoy, Potapova, Boksitogorskaya streets, as well as arrangement of highway and motorway multilevel junctions providing access to arterial roads and to the ring road.
Alongside with manufacturing, it is planned to arrange objects of city infrastructure associated with the development of the adjacent streets down to the eastern borders of the city on the territory of industrial area.
In general the decisions developed by the design team of the Institute and realized in the future must effect positively on the socioeconomic and engineering transport infrastructure of the region.
